Did you know that new drivers are more likely to crash in the first two years of passing their driving test than in the whole of the rest of their driving career?

This is why the DVSA designed the Pass Plus scheme. It is basically a road safety initiative aimed at improving new driver's skills and knowledge. Many insurance companies offer substantial insurance discounts to new drivers who have completed this driving course so it is well worth considering as it could potentially save you lots of money as well as making you a better driver.

The course aim is to build on your existing driving skills and knowledge to help you anticipate and deal with all types of hazards and road situations.

It is made up of six modules:

  • Town driving
  • Driving in all weather conditions
  • Driving on rural roads
  • Driving at night
  • Driving on dual carriageways
  • Driving on motorways

There is no test to take at the end but you are assessed throughout and graded at the end. You must complete all six modules.

For more information on the course why not check out the Pass Plus website. If you are interested in taking this course or would like to know more please don't hesitate to contact me.

Course Price: Unlike many driving schools I do not charge a premium for Pass Plus courses but instead charge my usual hourly rate of £25 an hour. The course is usually six hours.
